Owerri, Feb.10, 2017 (TNE) Worried by speculations over his health, female members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) say they will hold a prayer summit for President Muhammadu Buhari who has been on vacation abroad.
The party’s Deputy National Women Leader, Chief Mrs Tina Ekwueme-Adike, told newsmen in Owerri on Friday that the summit, organised by her office, would hold in Enugu and would be attended mainly by APC women from the southern zone.
Ekwueme-Adike said that the prayer would be non-denominational and would cut across all political parties.
“The prayer is specifically meant to implore God to re-enact those values which Africans
and Nigerians in particular are noted for, especially respecting human values and praying for our leaders,” she said.
She condemned the unwarranted and unnecessary death wishes circulating in the social media on the health of the president.
Ekwueme-Adike urged women to demonstrate a sense of commitment, patriotism and selflessness in their national life, noting that it would surely be well for the nation and the president
