Maiduguri, March 3, 2017 (TNE): Three suspected suicide bombers detonated their explosives on Damboa Road in Maiduguri in the early hours of Friday, destroying three petrol tankers parked near a fuel station, NEMA has confirmed.
An official of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Malam Abdul Ibrahim, said the ensuing fire had been brought under control ”while casuality evacuation has been concluded”.
He said that the casualty figure could not yet be ascertained as rescue efforts were ongoing.
The Borno Police Command also confirmed the occurrence, and according its spokesman, Mr Victor Isuku, ”our men are still working at the scene of the blasts”. (TNE)
