Akeredolu sets up committee to sort out payment of salary arrears

Akure, March 7, 2017 (TNE):  Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State  has constituted a  committee to sort out payment of the outstanding salaries being owed workers in the state.
The  committee which has the Deputy Governor Agboola Ajayi, as Chairman, began its inaugural meeting on Tuesday in Akure.
Other members of the committee are the Head of Service, Mr Toyin Akinkuotu, the Accountant General, Mr Laolu Akindolire, the Auditor-General, Mr Samuel Adegoke and  the Director of  the Central Pay Office, Mr Bode Ajigbolamu.
The NLC chairperson in the state, Mrs  Bosede Daramola and her  JNC counterpart,  Mr Sunday  Oluwole, as well as NULGE Chairman, Bunmi Eniayewu,  are also members.
Mr Bayo Philip, Secretary, Service Matters, is to serve as  Secretary. The committee is to calculate the arrears of salaries, establish the cause of the unpaid salaries and  recommend ways and means of effective payment.
The committee which will also suggest ways of ensuring regular payment, is expected to submit its report within two weeks.(TNE)
