”The action shows the total commitment of the government to peaceful co-existence and safety of the people of the state,” the governor said,
Bello expressed happiness that the investment of government in security has started yielding the desired results, as witnessed in the last 14 months in the state.
He directed that a motorcycle be deployed to each of the 243 wards in the state while the Commanders at the local government level be given an extra motorcycle each.
”This is to enhance community policing which we believe is a vital part of our security architecture,” he explained.
In his remarks, the Commander of the Vigilante Service, retired Col. Hassan Aliyu, promised to ensure that the vehicles are used for the intended purpose.
