Nairobi, Kenya, Oct. 10, 2017 (TNE) Kenyan opposition Presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, has withdrawn from the 26 October Presidential election.
Odinga made the announcement in Nairobi on Tuesday, saying the electoral body is likely to conduct a much worse election than it did on 8 August.
“The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has stonewalled the necessary reforms and wasted valuable time creating an idea of movement without movement,” Odinga said.
Odinga made the announcement as Parliament reconvened to discuss a new election law.
The session was not attended by the opposition members of parliament.
