Cape Town, South Africa, Oct. 11, 2017 (TNE) FIFA has confirmed that a goal scored by South African goalkeeper, Oscarine Masuluke, is one of three contenders for the global goal of the year award, to handed out in London on October 23.
Baroka FC goalkeeper, Masuluke, made headlines around the world with his extra-time wonder goal against Orlando Pirates, one of Africa’s top teams, last November.
His bicycle kick from the edge of the area earned his side a magnificent 1-1 draw at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
He becomes the first African and goalkeeper to be nominated.
