2018 FIFA U-17 WWC African qualifiers: 10 teams feature in preliminary round

Lagos, Oct. 12, 2017 (TNE) : The following are the preliminary-round fixtures in the African qualifying series for the 2018 FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup in Uruguay from 13 November to – 1 December, 2018.

Libya vs Djibouti – 1st leg: 13–15 Oct; 2nd leg: 27–29 Oct.
Sierra Leone vs Gambia – 1st leg: 13–15 Oct; 2nd leg: 27–29 Oct.
Zambia vs Botswana – 1st leg: 13–15 Oct; 2nd leg: 27–29 Oct.
Ethiopia vs Kenya – 1st leg: 13–15 Oct; 2nd leg: 27–29 Oct.
Mali vs Algeria – 1st leg: 13–15 Oct; 2nd leg: 27–29 Oct.

Winners from the two legs will qualify for the first round where the following teams have drawn byes – Tunisia, Ghana, South Africa, Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria and Cameroon.

The first-round, first-leg will take place 1–3 Dec, and the second leg 15–17 December.

First-round winners will advance to the second round from where the African representatives at the 2018 FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup in Uruguay will emerge.
